The live data task is essentially the take-home under pressure, with the added element that you'll present and discuss your findings with interviewers. They're watching not just what you find, but how you approach the problem: Do you start by exploring the data or by forming hypotheses? How do you handle dead ends? Can you synthesize findings on the fly? Do you communicate what you're doing as you work?
Beyond the data task, the onsite includes standard interview rounds: product sense (metric definition, case studies tied to Airbnb's marketplace), experimentation (A/B test design and interpretation), and behavioral interviews focused on collaboration and impact.
Marketplace-specific thinking
